"Bloody" Bill Marely - ( Erik Mueller), has been playing bass since he was 9 years old. Trained on good ol' Rock and Roll classics and fiddle tunes and country music from Al's earlier band days, he took to pirate music like slime on an eel. Erik also played bass for "Death by Monkeys", a alternative rock group doing original music. Erik brings his unique bass style to The Brigands, eschewing the traditional 1-5 bass pattern heard commonly on music of this genre in favor of lines more in keeping with the rythmic style available on a true tea-chest bass. Erik also brings a fine singing voice to The Brigands tavern style vocals.
Marley, the character, is up for anything, from wenching the local population, pulling off a caper or an all night rum sampling session. As first mate on the Hellion, his job is to maintain the chain of command, but clearly, he is not suited to this! First over the side in any boarding party and the last to return, Marley gets 1-1/2 shares of any plunder taken, so he makes sure there is plenty of that. Marley is also the Poster Boy for the Wenches Local and he has a hard time of it trying to make his way 'round the shire without being accosted by the lovely lasses, who raise the cry "Maaarrrleeeey!" when sighting him.
