What better way to end the year with one of the finest pirate festivals in the USA.   Held inside Fort Taylor, with one of the largest pirate camps in the world, daily ship to shore battles,  games and activities for the young pirates, storytelling, and of course, music by The Brigands.   A Sat night ball,  a pirate auction,  period vendors,  tours of the Fort and lots of other activities – this is one of our favorite festivals and we hope it becomes yours too.

Marcus Hook Pirate Festival, Marcus Hook, PA, Sept 20

Marcus Hook, historical home to many pirates, including the infamous Blackbeard, is host to the 6th Marcus Hook Pirate Festival.  Walk the streets where actual pirates walked, drank, fought and loved. This all day, FREE event is a good one to end the pirating season, as The Brigands bring real pirate music to the public.  Lots of vendors, music, re-enactment camps and weapon demonstrations.  All day, right on the water of the Delaware river.

New Jersey Pirate and Privateers Weekend, Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ, Sept 13 &14

Who knew New Jersey is home to so many pirates?  Come and join The Brigands as we piratize Atlantic City, Bader Field on Sept 13 and 14.   With lots of vendors, food, and re-enactment groups, live weapons demos, a pirate battle and all kinds of skullduggery,  a right fine time for any pirate or privateer.   At the Bader Field, in Atlantic City, NY , $10 for adults, and $5 for children, and running all day until 7 PM.

Norwalk Oyster Festival – Pirates Day, Sept 6, Norwalk Ct, all day

Join The Brigands and many other pirate groups as we invade the Oyster Festival in Norwalk Ct.   Who knows, you may find a pearl in one of the oysters!  Music, live demos, Meet The Pirates, and many other activities for the family, oh, and did we mention oysters??  Yep, Pirates and Oysters – what could be more natural?  FREE all day event.

Rock Hall Pirates and Wenches Fantasy Weekend, Aug 8-10, ROck Hall, MD

Ever see an entire town go Pirate crazy?  Rock Hall, Md, is one such place, and they have done it for years and years!  Come on down to Rock Hall, Aug 8-10 and join The Brigands to experience it.  With pirate activities like a dingy race and costume contest,  live weapons demos, pirate re-enactment camps,  and many other family based activities, the Rock Hall Pirates and Wenches Fantasy Weekend is not a pirate event you want to miss.

The Brigands are proud to have been participants for over 6 years and will be performing all day and night at this FREE ( yes FREE) event. SO get your pirate or wench on , brng your dingy, and plunder Rock Hall with us.

Battleship New Jerset Pirate Invasion, Aug 2

Finally, pirates take over a real battleship!  Aug 2, join us for a full day and evening of sword fights, black powder weapons, and activities for the little pirates, re-enactments, and a real Pirates Ball, which will feature The Brigands.  Stay overnight on the battleship New Jersey on Fri , Aug 1 !   This event is truly unique in our schedule and we are looking forward to it!   The Ball only is $25.00 and runs from 8-11 PM.   For the full experience, including dinner and breakfast, chow line style,  it is $59.00 per person.  With a special guest appearance by the reigning Pirate King of New England, this event is not to be missed.   www.battleshipnewjersey.org /news_events   .
